Green Tomato's, sliced thin Salt, to taste
5 Tbs Lard Yellow Cornmeal
   
Melt lard or rendered hog fat in a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle tomato's with salt. Roll in Cornmeal an' give it a generous coat. Fry until golden, turning only once.
