Lazy Daisy's Cherry Cobbler |

| 1/4 c Butter, softened | 1 - 16oz can Cherries, packed in water |
| 1/2 c Sugar | 1 c Flour |
| 2 tsp Baking Powder | 1/2 c milk |
Preheat oven to 375. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy, stir in flour, baking powder and milk. Grease an 8 X 8 cake pan and pour in mixture. Drain Cherries and reserve water or juice. Layer Cherries on batter. Add sugar to water or juice and pour over all. Bake 55 minutes. |
