Southern Fried Oysters |
|
| 8 oz. Whole Oysters, canned
|
1/4 C. Green Onions, minced |
| 1/2 C. Yellow Cornmeal | 1/4 C. Milk |
| 1/4 C. All Purpose Flour | 1 Egg, lightly beaten |
| 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder | 2 Tbl. Butter, melted |
| 1/4 tsp. Salt | Dash of Cayenne Pepper |
| Vegetable Oil, for frying | |
Drain Oysters, reserve 3 Tbl. liquid. Mix Cornmeal, Flour, Baking Powder and Salt. Stir in reserved Oyster liquid. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well.

Garlic Mustard Dip |
|
1 clove Garlic, minced |
1/2 C. Sour Cream |
| 1 Tbl. fresh Lemon Juice | 2 tsp. Dijon Style Mustard |
| Stir all ingredients until well blended, chill. Serve on the side. | |
