Southern Fried Oysters
   
8 oz. Whole Oysters, canned
1/4 C. Green Onions, minced
1/2 C. Yellow Cornmeal 1/4 C. Milk
1/4 C. All Purpose Flour 1 Egg, lightly beaten
1/4 tsp. Baking Powder 2 Tbl. Butter, melted
1/4 tsp. Salt Dash of Cayenne Pepper
Vegetable Oil, for frying  
   

Drain Oysters, reserve 3 Tbl. liquid.

Mix Cornmeal, Flour, Baking Powder and Salt.

Stir in reserved Oyster liquid.

Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well.


Dip Oysters in Cornmeal mixture and fry until golden brown.

   

Garlic Mustard Dip

1 clove Garlic, minced

1/2 C. Sour Cream
1 Tbl. fresh Lemon Juice 2 tsp. Dijon Style Mustard
   
Stir all ingredients until well blended, chill. Serve on the side.
