Mix cream cheese and sugar with a mixer on medium setting for one minute or until it looks like a creamy frosting.

Add Cool Whip and stir by hand.

Split mixture into two bowls for (three for triple color).

Add a few drops of food color to one bowl (or two bowls for triple).

Mix completely.

Pour colored mixture in pie shell, smoothing evenly.

Add the white uncolored filling on top and smooth again.

If doing triple color add the final color and smooth again.

Add pie filling on top and cool at least one hour in the refrigerator.
