San Francisco Style Sourdough Bread |

1 Pound Loaf |
Ingredients: |
1 1/2 Pound Loaf | ||
| 3/4 cup 1/4 cup 2 cup 2 tsp 1/2 tsp 1 tsp |
sourdough starter milk bread flour sugar salt yeast |
1 1/4 cup 1/4 cup 3 cup 1 Tbl 3/4 tsp 1 1/4 tsp |

| Place ingredients in Bread Pan in the order given above and bake on French Bread setting. | ||||
For rolls, set machine to Dough Cycle. Once the cycle completes leave dough in pan for 1 hour. Punch Dough down and place in a greased bowl, turn over to grease the other side. Cover tightly and place in refrigerator a minimum of 2 1/2 hours, punching dough down again occasionally. Roll dough into palm sized balls and dip in melted butter to coat. Place in a baking pan, cover with a clean dishtowel and allow to rise in a warm draft free area until doubled in size. Preheat oven to 400 and bake 15 - 20 minutes or until golden. Brush with more melted butter if desired. |
