Deb's EZ Pancakes 'n Waffles
 
(Serves 2 - 3 People)
 
1 1/4 C Flour, sifted 3 tsp Baking Powder 1 Tbl Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Vanilla 1 Egg, beaten
1 C Milk Your choice of Salad Oil or Melted Shortening or Bacon Fat or Pam
For Waffles add 2 Tbl of oil to the mix and fry on hot waffle iron sprayed with Pam
 

Turn oven on to 150 or lowest temp available, place serving plates inside to warm.

Set butter on table to get soft.

Heat skillet or griddle on high heat until a drop of water sizzles rapidly then lower heat to medium to keep skillet or griddle hot.
Mix all ingredients, Do Not Over Mix! Batter should be a little lumpy.

Season grill with your choice of grease.

Pour batter onto griddle for desired size pancakes and wait for edges to become dry, if bubbles appear wait for them to pop.

Turn and brown the other side lifting the edge of the pancake to check for desired brown color.

*Serve on warm plates with heated syrup and soft butter.

     

**This recipe is also great with:

1/4 - 1/2 C chopped pecans folded into the batter.

Your favorite fruit & whipped cream, like bananas or drained peach slices sprinkled with a bit of cinnamon.

Have a pancake sundae by putting vanilla ice cream with warmed caramel ice cream topping and nuts sprinkled on top.
