Dad's Pumpkin Bread |

| 2 2/3 c Sugar | 3 1/2 c Flour |
| 2 c Pumpkin | 2/3 tsp Baking Soda |
| 4 Eggs | 2/3 c Shortening, melted |
| 1/2 tsp Cloves | 2 tsp Baking Powder |
| 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon | 1/3 c Nuts |
| Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour two 9 x 5 loaf pans. Mix all ingredients and pour into loaf pans. Bake 1 hour. Cool slightly and take out of pans to let cool on a rack. *Note: This tastes best if you wrap, refrigerate and wait a day to eat it. It keeps well in the refrigerator and can be frozen. |
