| Beer Batter for Chicken or Fish | ||

| 1 C Flour | 1 Tbl Baking Soda | 10 oz. Beer |
| Salt to taste | Oil or Shortening | Desired cuts of Chicken or Fish |
Heat Oil to 375 in deep fryer or skillet (deep fry works best). Lower deep fryer basket before adding coated meat. Do not place battered meat directly on deep fryer basket or it will drip through and stick. Dip meat in batter, allow excess to run off and drop slowly into hot oil. Fry until deep golden brown and meat is done. Fry time will vary according to size and thickness of meat pieces. Salt to taste while hot. |
