Smothered Rabbit |

| 1 Rabbit, dressed and cut into serving size pieces | Flour, Salt and Pepper |
| 3 Tbl Cooking Oil | 1 c Dry Red Wine |
| 1 c Water | 1 tsp Basil |
| 1 Bay leaf | |
| Sift together flour, salt and pepper and coat Rabbit pieces. Brown in hot oil in a cast iron skillet. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer until done. A young rabbit will cook in about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve over hot buttered noodles. |
