Honey's Crunchy Party Cookies |

| * 1 c Vegetable Shortening * | * 1 tsp Unsalted Butter * |
| 1/4 c Egg Whites | 1/4 c Honey |
| 2 tsp Garlic Powder | 2 c All Purpose Flour |
| Food Coloring (optional) | 1/4 c Cheddar Cheese; grated fine or Cheddar Cheese Powder |
| Sesame seeds (optional) | |
Preheat oven to 325. In a large bowl, beat shortening and butter with an electric mixer at high speed until creamy. Add egg whites and honey; beat until smooth. Beat in food coloring, if desired. Beat into shortening mixture. Stir in more food coloring if you like. Flour your hands and roll the pieces into balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with a floured fork in a crisscross design. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Remove from oven and slide a spatula under each one so cookies don't stick to the pan Turn off the heat and leave in the oven about 5 minutes. * Note: For extra crunchy cookies, use only 1/2 cup shortening and 1/2 teaspoon butter |
